Psychologist
I am Irene Pascual Falcó, I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona, and a master’s degree in child and adolescent clinical psychology.
Since 2012 I have worked as a psychologist and educator with children and young people with different difficulties and disabilities, specializing in developmental disorders. In 2013 I was offered a job in the UK and I worked for 3 and a half years in a residential school for children and young people with Developmental Disorders (mainly Autism Spectrum Disorder). But at the end of the summer of 2016, I decided to change my focus in Psychology, and also work with the adult population in different projects. Among them, I highlight a project that I led and carried out aimed at women with substance addiction problems as the main symptomatology but with a history of domestic violence, abuse, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, depression, and other associated difficulties, etc.
In 2018, after 5 years living in the United Kingdom, I returned to live in Barcelona, my hometown, and among other priorities I had the intention of professionally making a difference in people’s lives. Then I found Ipitia, an international psychology center, which not only because of its great professionalism but also because of its humane treatment offered the opportunity I was looking for, and I didn’t think twice about it.
I consider myself a person with a great learning capacity, decisive, empathetic, who enjoys teamwork, and who brings positivity to his environment. As a psychologist, I believe that each person deserves the opportunity to live fully and only with personalized attention to their needs and their situation, passion for work, and enthusiasm for a job well done, a psychologist can make a difference.
