Intensive for the treatment of generalized anxiety
The intensive for the treatment of generalized anxiety is aimed at people who experience a state of constant worry, psychic tension and mental exhaustion, and who are looking for an effective, deep and results-oriented therapeutic intervention. This concentrated format allows working in a short time on the cognitive, emotional and bodily factors that sustain chronic anxiety, favoring a real transformation of the internal response system.
From an integrative clinical approach, the patterns of anticipatory thinking, control dynamics, hyper-demand and emotional roots that are often at the base of the disorder are explored. The process is accompanied by verbal interventions, self-regulation techniques, body work and symbolic exercises, with the aim of reducing mental overactivity and recovering a more flexible, present and secure relationship with one’s own experience.
The treatment is not only focused on symptom reduction, but also on strengthening the capacity for self-regulation, revising deep beliefs and building a more stable internal base from which to inhabit daily life with greater calm and coherence.
This format is particularly suitable for people who, despite having tried to manage anxiety by various means, continue to feel a high level of internal agitation, dissatisfaction or burnout, and wish to initiate a more intensive and resolute process of change.
How can we help you?
Why do an intensive?
Generalized anxiety usually implies a hyperactive psychic functioning, with a high load of anticipation, control and internal demand. Intensive work allows us to momentarily interrupt this cycle, create a meaningful parenthesis and open spaces of emotional and bodily contact that are not always accessible from the mental discourse.
In addition, the concentration of sessions facilitates a broader review of anxious patterns and their roots, which can effectively complement the continuity offered by regular therapy. It becomes a space for withdrawal, observation and internal reorganization that helps to consolidate ongoing changes or to unblock stopped processes.

🔸 Conditions of intensive treatment.
Before starting any intensive format, it is necessary to perform a minimum of four preparatory sessions, which can be carried out in person in Barcelona or online through an encrypted and secure system. These sessions allow a proper clinical assessment, establish realistic therapeutic goals and prepare the patient for the intensive work.
It is also strongly recommended to continue with a therapeutic process after the intensive, either in our center or with another trusted professional, in order to consolidate the progress achieved and integrate in a sustained manner the changes produced during the intervention.
