Intensive Treatment of Depression
The intensive treatment of depression is designed for people seeking an effective, structured and transformative psychological intervention. It is a concentrated format of therapeutic work that allows to address in a deep and direct way the core emotional discomfort that sustains the depressive state. Through a highly qualified professional accompaniment, the personal, relational and vital factors involved in the depressive state are explored, promoting a greater understanding of its origin and function.
The work combines psychological intervention with corporal, creative and symbolic activation techniques, generating an experiential context that favors emotional expression, psychic elaboration and the recovery of internal resources. This methodology allows access to contents that do not always emerge in the conventional weekly therapy format, favoring significant advances in a short period of time.
The objective is not only the reduction of symptoms, but an intervention with the capacity to generate a sustained change: resignifying the depressive experience, reactivating desire, and recovering a more connected, autonomous and coherent vital positioning. This format is particularly suitable for people who are going through major blocks, moments of crisis or a loss of meaning, and who wish to be actively involved in their own transformation process.
How can we help you?
Why do an intensive?
Complementing regular therapy with intensive treatment can offer a particularly useful framework in cases of depression where the weekly rhythm is not sufficient to generate movement or meaningful emotional contact. Depression tends to set in as a psychic inertia that hinders access to desire, initiative and inner experience.
In an intensive space, it is possible to sustain an emotional continuity that allows working on deeper layers of discomfort, interrupting circular dynamics and beginning to re-establish a more vivid link with oneself. It does not replace therapy in the long term, but can act as an initial impulse or as a catalyst within a process already underway.

We also offer individual psychological therapy, in person or online, with weekly or biweekly frequency, for follow-up, relapse prevention or deepening of personal work.
🔸 Conditions of intensive treatment.
Before starting any intensive format, it is necessary to perform a minimum of four preparatory sessions, which can be carried out in person in Barcelona or online through an encrypted and secure system. These sessions allow a proper clinical assessment, establish realistic therapeutic goals and prepare the patient for the intensive work.
It is also strongly recommended to continue with a therapeutic process after the intensive, either in our center or with another trusted professional, in order to consolidate the progress achieved and integrate in a sustained manner the changes produced during the intervention.
