Intensive Treatment of Depersonalization Disorder
The intensive treatment for depersonalization disorder is aimed at people seeking a specialized, structured, and effective intervention to address this experience of subjective disconnection. This intensive format allows for in-depth work on the psychological and emotional mechanisms that sustain the feeling of estrangement from one’s body, identity, or environment.
Through a combination of rigorous clinical work and bodily and symbolic dynamics, a process of progressive reconnection with one’s internal experience is facilitated. The support is provided by professionals with solid training and experience in addressing dissociative states, integrating a comprehensive yet decisive approach.
The treatment includes therapeutic tools aimed at restoring the perception of continuity, reality, and belonging to one’s body and psychic world. The use of expressive and body techniques helps reduce the excessive dominance of the analytical mind, activating alternative channels of emotional regulation and reintegration of the experience.
This intensive format is especially suitable for people who, despite having started other treatments, continue to feel trapped in an experience of unreality, dissociation, or emotional disconnection. The goal is not to force a “return to normalcy,” but rather to build a new subjective anchor from within, restoring solidity, presence, and meaning to the experience of being in the world.
How can we help you?
Why do an intensive?
In cases of depersonalization or derealization, the sense of identity, presence, and connection to experience can be significantly compromised. In these cases, intensive treatment offers a supportive and sufficiently long-term framework to address dissociative aspects that are difficult to address in the limited time of a conventional session.
The emotional and bodily immersion offered by the intensive format facilitates moments of progressive reconnection with one’s internal experience. Properly integrated into an ongoing therapeutic process, it can help restore the sense of belonging to one’s body, history, and psychic world.

Conducted at our center.
Recommended as an initial intervention for acute conditions or for people who require rapid, focused, specialized guidance.
Deep Intensive · 25 hours
Five 5-hour blocks.
Conducted at our center.
Allows for a more extensive exploration of the dissociative phenomenon, progressively integrating split experiences and facilitating sustained emotional reconnection.
On-Site Intensive · 12 hours
Same format as the Base Intensive, conducted in the patient’s environment (home, hotel, or apartment) within the province of Barcelona.
Ideal for those who feel more comfortable working in their own space or are more sensitive to the therapeutic environment.
On-Site Intensive · 25 hours
Equivalent to the In-Depth Intensive, delivered entirely in the patient’s temporary or usual residence.
It facilitates a high degree of personalization and allows for work in an intimate and contained environment, which can be key in conditions involving hypervigilance or perceptual dysregulation.
We also offer individual psychological therapy, in person or online, weekly or biweekly, for follow-up, relapse prevention, or deepening personal work.

🔸 Intensive Treatment Conditions
Before starting any intensive treatment format, a minimum of four preparatory sessions are required. These sessions can be conducted in person in Barcelona or online through a secure, encrypted system. These sessions allow for an adequate clinical evaluation, establish realistic therapeutic goals, and prepare the patient for intensive treatment.
Furthermore, it is strongly recommended to continue with a therapeutic process after the intensive treatment, either at our center or with another trusted professional, in order to consolidate the progress made and sustainably integrate the changes produced during the intervention.
