Intensive Trauma Treatment
The Trauma Treatment Intensive is designed for people who have lived through overwhelming experiences – whether recent or past – and who are seeking a highly specialized therapeutic intervention capable of addressing the lingering effects of trauma on the body, mind and identity. This concentrated format allows for contained and progressive work on dissociative effects, hyperarousal or blocking responses, and the experience of internal insecurity or disconnection with oneself.
The approach combines clinical work with corporal, creative and symbolic dynamics, with the objective of favoring a sustained emotional reintegration. The intervention is guided by psychologists with experience in addressing trauma from an integral perspective, incorporating specific tools for the regulation of the nervous system, protected emotional expression and the resignification of the traumatic experience.
Unlike conventional formats, the intensive format allows establishing a framework of security and continuity sufficient to go through deep layers of the experience, without fragmenting the process. It works at the pace of the person, avoiding any form of forced or invasive exposure, and prioritizing the building of inner confidence and sense of agency.
This treatment is particularly suitable for those who, despite having initiated other therapeutic processes, feel that certain pain cores remain unresolved, or for people who need a structured intervention for complex post-traumatic symptoms such as dissociation, hypervigilance, emotional blockage or repetition of dysfunctional attachments.
How can we help you?
Why do an intensive?
Trauma-related processes require a careful, gradual and sufficiently contained approach. The intensive format is not intended to replace the prolonged work that many cases require, but it can provide something that regular therapy sometimes does not allow: an emotional continuity and a depth of work that facilitates the emergence and integration of traumatic contents.
In a safe and carefully guided framework, the intensive allows the experience to be sustained without fragmenting it, favoring symbolic elaboration, nervous system regulation and the recovery of inner confidence. Inserted in a broader process, it can be a relevant turning point.

🔸 Conditions of intensive treatment.
Before starting any intensive format, it is necessary to perform a minimum of four preparatory sessions, which can be carried out in person in Barcelona or online through an encrypted and secure system. These sessions allow a proper clinical assessment, establish realistic therapeutic goals and prepare the patient for the intensive work.
It is also strongly recommended to continue with a therapeutic process after the intensive, either in our center or with another trusted professional, in order to consolidate the progress achieved and integrate in a sustained manner the changes produced during the intervention.
